The International Towing and Recovering Hall of Fame and Museum is in this city because it’s the birthplace of tow trucks.
2. Chatype
In 2012, Chattanooga developed a unique distinction by launching a one-of-a-kind typeface called Chatype. A typeface is a design of letters, numbers and other symbols, to be used in printing or for electronic display. To put it in simple terms, each variation of a typeface is a font. “The development of this typeface marked the first time a city in America did anything like this.” It was also the first time an American city crowd-funded a custom-made typeface to be used in a municipality.
3. Mountains and Ridges
Chattanooga TN is surrounded by many ridges and mountains because it lies at the changeover between the Cumberland Plateau and the Appalachian Mountains.
4. Civil War
Chattanooga was a prime area during the Civil War and is home to the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, the country’s first and largest military park.
